Brisbane Interior Design
‘Make my external reality reflect my internal reality’ was the brief our client gave when she contacted us to interior design her Brisbane seaside townhouse.
Part of a 1980s townhouse development set out in a village inspired setting within landscaped gardens, the home was entirely reflective of the era in which it was built. Beige on beige abounded throughout.
We chose a bright white colour scheme, accented with striking feature walls painted in Dulux Yellowstone, the perfect backdrop to our client’s extensive collection of eclectic art collected over many years of international travel. Utilitarian tiles were replaced with polished timber floors topped with large scale sisal floor rugs and the furnishings were chosen for their clean and classic lines.
Custom plantation shutters were fitted to the full width sliding doors that open out onto the colourful courtyard garden.
Natural materials were used throughout, reflecting Carrol’s connection to the earth and Andrew’s love of simplicity in design. The feeling of light, warmth and comfort creates an incredibly welcoming and peaceful space.
