Paddington Apartment Interior Design
Nestled in Sydney between bustling Paddington and tranquil Rushcutters Bay, Sydney, this 2 bedroom bachelor apartment is owned by a Sydney based, London born businessman. The original fitout and design of the apartment interior was outdated and unsuitable for the owner. His brief was to create an interior design with a ‘Man Cave’ look and an industrial feel.
We renovated the entire Paddington apartment, redesigning the kitchen, entry, living area, media room and master bedroom. The new design took into account our client’s extensive collection of eclectic and industrial furniture and art.
The project scope included building works, custom joinery, kitchen design, flooring, colour scheme, window treatments, lighting and electrical design. Recycled timber panels were used to incorporate vintage texture into the apartment interior, whilst pressed metal was used to bring in an industrial look to the media room doors. A custom made stainless steel bench , 4 meters in length was incorporated into the kitchen design as a group gathering place for cocktails, conversation and dining. The pale grey tones of the recycled French oak flooring create a sense of spaciousness and reflect natural light.
